That place is the resort and new community of Olde Mill. Located just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway in the pastoral hills of Southwest Virginia's Carroll County, Olde Mill is the place you want to be – for a weekend, a season and for generations.

The Olde Mill Resort golf course opened in 1972. The course was designed by Ellis Maples and recently updated by Ellis's son Dan Maples with grandson Brad Maples. The was the first joint project for the father and some team of Dan and Brad Maples. Olde Mill sits on 850 acres of gently rolling hills and scenic valleys centered around the championship 18-hole golf course and 54 acre lake.

Virginia Mountain Golf!

Located in Laurel Fork, VA which is just over the VA border from Mt. Airy, NC.  The course is a Dan Maples re-design in the mountains of Virginia.  Condos are located on-site as well as a full service clubhouse that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Nearby you'lll find local shops, wineries, local restaurants, etc.

Because of the mountain location, the course is generally not open in the winter months.
